We had the honour of styling the first ever wedding to be held at Birmingham’s new event space, The Bond in Digbeth. It was an interesting set up to say the least, we turned up on the morning of installation to a building site, walls still being painted and electrics still being installed, however we donned our hard hats & high vises and got to work. By the end of the day, the venue had been transformed into a gorgeous wedding setting and i think you’ll agree you wouldn’t be able to tell it had been a building site that morning!
We installed vertical white voile drapes hung along the right side of the room for a unique look which softened the industrial space. In the ceiling we hung a fairy light canopy with disco balls in varying sizes and heights which added such a fun, party element to the venue.
Our black and white dancefloor was layed at the back of the room, with a warm white fairy light curtain draped behind it and 6ft ficus trees and brass lanterns placed either side.
The tables were dressed with our 6ft ficus trees which looked amazing in such an open event space. These were also placed on each end of the bar to carry the decor through the room. Finishing touches such as our copper geometric candle holders, copper votives and brass lanterns were used to add some metallic details to the styling.
For an added touch of fun and quirkiness, our zebra prop was used for photo opportunities, accessorised with a disco ball of course.
Outside the venue we ran a festoon canopy in a zig-zag formation over the seated chill out area for some added ambience when the sun went down.
