Jamie & Carla’s Charming Back Garden Wedding

Today we’re bringing you some absolute joy via Jamie and Carla’s charming back garden wedding, featuring rustic décor and details and stunning outdoor lighting installations.

We are seeing more couples choosing to have relaxed weddings and there is nothing more relaxed than holding it in your back garden. Relaxed doesn’t have to mean dull though- small, intimate and oh so very pretty, this laid-back wedding gave us all the boho rustic vibes.

Wedding also featured on Boho weddings, see more here.

The team at MORE transformed the garden of Jamie’s family home into something truly spectacular. Everywhere you turned there were beautiful decorative displays of warm light, which came to life as it got dark, the highlight of which was a wonderful fairy light canopy created in the centre of the garden as a focal point for the ceremony and reception. Festoon lighting also adorned the draping willow branches to create a cosy bar area of the garden, whilst white drape and a fairy light curtain was installed under the pergola for guests to dance away next to all night long.

Our rustic furniture range is a match made in heaven for any back garden wedding, as the wooden material looks great alongside the lush natural greenery. Rustic pallet benches and cube seats with hessian seat pads paired with wooden coffee tables created a lovely lounge area for guests to relax in under the marquee. It wouldn’t be a wedding without a bar, so a quirky bar area was created under the willow trees using our oak barrels and 6ft pallet bars for guests to help themselves to drinks.

Weddings are a chance to express your personalities and interests through the decor, Carla is a huge Alice in Wonderland fan so subtle nods to the book and film were added such as the drink me bottle near the bar and foliage teapots as table centres. Glass votives, bird cages and white Moroccan and chrome lanterns were placed around the garden, on top of bars & tables to add a delicate touch of detail in contrast to all the rustic décor elements.
